Dynamic Warm-Up involves continuous movement preparing an athlete's muscles and joints for a specific sport. Examples of activities for a dynamic warm-up are: jumping jacks, high knees, arm circles, jogging and butt kicks.

Flexibility and Stretching enables athletes to equalize the muscle imbalance. Participating in an activity that uses certain muscle groups and not others can cause one muscle group to overpower its counter muscle group.

Strength helps to support joints and decrease joint stress during an, activity. Increased strength improves muscle reaction time and helps guard the joint. Athletes need to strength train for their specific sport. Core strength (abs, hips, gluts, lower back and hamstrings) is especially important.

Injury Prevention Programs at The Center

Video Gait Analysis is a complete trunk and lower body biomechanical screen with a measureable strength and flexibility assessment. It also includes videotaped gait analysis (walking or running) on the treadmill with software analysis for frame by frame evaluation of the athlete's stride.

SportsmetricsTM is a research proven training program increasing muscular power and jump height, and reducing the risk of serious knee injury. It includes Plyometrics, strength and jump training, comparative video analysis, and measures the athlete's improvement throughout the program.

Throwers Athletic Performance (TAP) Program utilizes current, innovative and research-based training concepts to help athletes perfect their throws by using the body to its fullest potential.

Titleist Performance Institute Fitness Golf Program
