The experts at The Center for Physical Rehabilitation have designed a Throwers Athletic Performance enhancement program providing personalized, one-on-one instruction for throwing athletes.

Utilizing current, innovative and researched based training concepts, this state-of-the-art program compliments sports camps, coaching activities and daily playing experiences. We help your athlete perfect their throws by using the body to its fullest potential. The beginning athlete gains confidence in throwing safely and pain free; while, the higher level athletes capitalize on strengths and improve weaknesses.

Achieving Results

Using a systematic approach of the key areas for throwing, allows us to best address your athletic focus. We aim to IMPROVE performance and DECREASE injury by:

  • Analyzing the throwing motion sequences, using our state-of-the-art video analysis, allowing us to see deficiencies
  • Evaluating detailed mechanics to maximize each pitch or throw
  • Creating an individualized training plan to correct and adjust mechanical flaws

Compliment to Coaching

We work with coaches at all levels helping them understand the physiological role of throwing. Our program is the perfect compliment providing more individualized attention to the biomechanics of throwing.

Coaches, parents, physical therapists, physicians and other healthcare professionals may refer athletes to TAP.

Level One: Throwing Analysis

  • Breakdown of pitching and/or throwing mechanics using dual high-speed digital cameras
  • Slow motion review using state-of-the-art computer software
  • Recommendations on proper throwing technique for performance enhancement and injury prevention
  • Individualized assessment of the thrower's flexibility and strength
  • Home program instruction for optimal performance

Cost: $90/ 1 hour

Level Two: Comprehensive Analysis

  • Throwing Analysis Level I (see above)
  • Video analysis of running gait to determine efficiency and improve running the bases
  • Performance Enhancement Program including core exercises and high level plyometrics

Cost: $150/ 2 hours

To further enhance training, additional services are available including follow-up personal training sessions, throwing and training workouts, sports psychology, sports nutrition, and physical rehabilitation.
