At the Academy our unique sports-specific training focuses on increasing performance while preventing injury. Programs are led by certified professionals with medical backgrounds and first-hand knowledge of injury prevention.

The Academy for Sports and Wellness is offering group training to enhance long-term athletic development for Middle School athletes. This four week program will recondition your athlete after the loss of spring sports, and help reduce the risk of injury going into fall sports.
Instructors will strictly follow CDC guidelines and MHSAA rules for training. Sessions will be held outside, participants will be screened prior to each session, and social distancing and strict cleaning protocols of equipment will be in place.
With one-on-one sport specific training athletes get all the benefits of team training and conditioning, tailored to an athlete’s individual needs. Our highly trained staff of Certified Athletic Trainers, Physical Therapists and/or Strength and Conditioning Specialists have specialized training and extensive knowledge in each specific sport.

TRX suspension training
Our Return to Play Program helps athletes transition from physical therapy after an injury to confident return to safe full participation in sports. In order for an athlete to participate in the Return to Play Program they must be cleared by their physician to begin straight line running activities.

The Center utilizes Move2Perform, which is an injury prediction software utilizing an athlete’s score on function movement tests and compares it to national statistics. These scores allow The Center to assist in crucial return to play decisions, or pinpoint deficits where further work is needed.
