The Center’s Return to Play Program helps athletes transition from physical therapy after an injury to a confident return to safe full participation in sports. By recreating game-like exercises in a controlled environment, athletes can practice the demands of their sport with the supervision of our experienced clinicians.
In order for an athlete to participate in the Return to Play Program, they must be cleared by their physician to begin straight-line running activities. If a referral from a physician is obtained, participation in this program can be billed through your insurance company. The cost will then vary depending on the individual health insurance plans.
Athletes receive comprehensive pre and post-program assessments using Move2Perform testing, giving you data on your recovery progress and readiness to return to sport. Each session is tailored to your specific sport, injury, and recovery stage. We progressively advance your training to get you back to full performance.
How long does the Return to Play Program take?
The program length varies depending on the athlete’s specific injury and sport. Your program timeline will be customized based on your progress.
Can I do this program while still in regular physical therapy?
The Return to Play Program typically begins after completing traditional physical therapy, once you’ve regained basic strength and range of motion.
