Gloria Dennen was a friend and inspiration to The Center, and we are proud to honor her!
Patrick worked with Gloria for about 3 years, focusing treatment on regaining her ability to stand, walk, manage stairs, and be active again after a below-the-knee amputation. Through her hard work and teamwork with physical therapist Patrick and caregivers Jackie and Mike, Gloria accomplished goal after goal. She went on to live a full and active life in her last years, proving that she could “live beyond limits.” During her time at CPR, Gloria radiated a positive force of inspiration for patient and staff alike, and (literally) danced her way into our hearts. In honor of her and her impact on our CPR community, we are doing a jean day to send a donation on behalf of Patrick and The Center.
Gloria’s requested memorial fund has been designated as Temple Emanuel in Grand Rapids, which was her place of worship. Their mission is ‘We are a community that embraces our differences to create a meaningful and spiritual experience to enhance Jewish life. Together we learn, worship, serve and continually define what it means to be Jewish today-both within our community and far beyond our walls.’ The Center is pleased to be able to support Gloria’s passion to spread community with this donation in her name.
